The IEA offers the most comprehensive competitive visa service in Ireland

The Irish Exporters Association's (IEA) Visa/Legalisation Service comes in three parts:

  • Visa Service

If requested, the Visa/Legalisation Service will seek to obtain the necessary Visas on behalf of business travelers.

The Visa/Legalisation Service can be of assistance to firms requiring the legalisation of documents for export. This service involves obtaining official signatures and seals at a number of embassies and consulates in Dublin and London.

  • Advisory Service

We advise exporters on the documentary requirements for international travel and on the requirements for legalised documents for specific countries. This advisory service is free of charge.

Visa Service

To apply for a visa:

  1. Select the country you will be traveling to.

  2. Download the visa application form for the country you will be traveling to.

  3. Fill in the application form of that country, and gather all the information that the embassy will require. (e.g. passport photos, letter of invitation, original company letter etc.)

  4. For fast and efficient service submit completed application by registered post or courier to the Visa Section, Irish Exporters Association, 28 Merrion Square, Dublin.

  5. You will be contacted when application has been received and kept up to date on the visa application progress.

 

What does the Client do?

The client contacts the Visa/Legalisation Service for information regarding the visa requirements for a particular country or uses the drop down menu for relevant information. Clients then submit the necessary documentation to IEA.

What does the IEA do?

IEA's Visa/Legalisation Service will:

  • Check application for accuracy and completeness.

  • If the Embassy or Consulate is London based, the application is taken by courier to the relevant Consular location for processing. If involving a Dublin-based Embassy it is  taken to the relevant Consular section for processing by hand.

  • Collect passport and visa on date appointed by Consulate. If London-based, the passport is returned to Dublin via overnight courier service.

  • On receipt in Dublin office, the visa is checked, company notified,and passport returned by registered post or by courier.

  • Each Consular office has specific payment requirements (cash/cheque/bankdraft) which are paid by the IEA on behalf of the client and subsequently re-invoiced.


Visa Service Charges:

IEA's handling fee: €75.00 per visa

Visa fees: As raised by the Embassy

For overnight return to London the courier fee is €50 for normal service. Emergency services may incur an extra charges.

Courier fees are changeable where requested by a client.

All fees are subject to 21.5% VAT

The IEA advisory service is free of charge.

Legalisation of Documents

The IEA offers the most comprehensive competitive document legalisation service in Ireland

What does the Client do?

Client contacts the Visa/Legalisation Service for information regarding the legalisation process and requirements. Client duly submits necessary documentation to IEA.

What does the IEA do?

The IEA Visa/Legalisation Service will:

  • Check documents to ensure they meet requirements.

  • If necessary, send documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs for authentication

  • If the Embassy or Consulate is London based, the application is taken by courier to the relevant Consular location for processing. If involving a Dublin-based Embassy it is  taken to the relevant Consular section for processing by hand.

  • Take documents by hand to relevant Consulate and collect legalised documents on date appointed by Consulate. If London-based, legalised documents are returned to Dublin via overnight courier service.

  • On receipt in Dublin, documents are checked for relevant stamps,company notified if necessary and documents returned.

  • Each organisation/Consulate has specific payment requirements(cash/cheque/bank draft) which are paid by the IEA on behalf of the client and subsequently re-invoiced.


Legalisation Service Charges:

IEA's handling fee: €160.00 per Country/ Shipment (includes multiple lodgements where necessary)

Legalisation fees: As raised by Embassy or Department of Foreign.

For overnight return to London the courier fee is €50 for normal service. Emergency services may incur an extra charges.

Advisory Service

Before making firm travel arrangements for overseas journeys, intending travelers should ensure that they comply with the various requirements in respect of passport and visa criteria. The IEA will help exporters to establish what these requirements are or you can simply use the drop down menu to find the specific requirements of the country you wish to visit.

The IEA advisory service is free of charge.

Notes:

  1. The IEA normally expects to be able to obtain visas/legalisations within a stated time frame. However, due to the nature of the service, no guaranteed return/completion date can be given.
  2. While all reasonable care will be taken,the IEA will accept no liability for any loss resulting from error of any kind by it, its servants and agents, in the processing of Visas/Legalisations, or from the loss or delay in dealing with documents
  3. The courier fee stated is for normal courier charges within Dublin or for overnight couriers between Dublin and London . Other destinations may incur a higher courier charge.
  4. Emergency courier service, for time-sensitive deliveries, are charged above normal rate.The IEA will pass this charge on to the client
