The National Export Campaign (NEC) and  National Export Hub (NEH) is a new initiative lead by the Irish Exporters Association and Partners: ABPAIB, DHLEuler Hermes and PwC in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade , and Bord Bia to increase the number of Irish businesses exporting for the first time, assist Irish businesses to enter new export markets and to support Irish exporters to grow their exports in existing markets.

In 2016 the National Export Campaign (NEC) and National Export Hub (NEH) set out to increase the number of Irish businesses exporting for the first time, assist Irish businesses to enter new export markets and support Irish exporters to grow their exports in existing markets.

2 large breakfast seminars took place in Dublin and Cork which attracted over 200 registered attendees. The seminars provided practical knowledge from experienced exporters and an opportunity for attending SMEs to meet experts from the attending Partners. The National Export Hub also launched the Export Knowledge programme in collaboration with Intertrade Ireland on the 21st March 2016. The Export Knowledge Programme is a two-phase programme which aims to take participants through an educational and support led journey to improve their capability to export into existing and/or new markets on the Island of Ireland and internationally. 18 Companies graduated in July 2016 and were conferred by Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor.
