IEA Regional Seminar Series: Cork & Galway Events, Cork and West Regional Councils and upcoming dates for your diary

June was very busy here at the Irish Exporters Association organising the first two of our six Regional Seminars, which took place in Cork and Galway in association with Ulster Bank, and we also launched the IEA Cork and West Regional Councils.

The Regional Seminars have been established to support and drive networking for our members of all sizes across all sectors with each event having a market, industry and expert focus. Specifically, this series provides a platform for driving the IEA’s regional growth and development strategy.

We are very excited to have established a Cork Regional Council (9th June 2016) which will be Chaired by Alan Fehily of DePuySynthes (pictured top right), and West Regional Council (14th June 2016) which will be Chaired by John Carr of VP Supply Chain Solutions at Flextronics (pictured centre right).

Each Council will be made up of representatives from exporting businesses from the region. Their purpose is: to increase the IEA’s presence on the ground, enhance our ability to understand and develop solutions to the local issues that are affecting our members, and to ensure we strengthen the regional input into the main IEA National Council.

Why our members attend our Regional Seminars?

  • Meet local exporters and service providers from a range of sectors in your region
  • Get involved in a breakfast networking session
  • Attend presentations and learn best practice from industry experts
  • Hear from our Export Advisory Panel
  • Meet the IEA Regional Chairs
  • Keep up to date with industry developments
