John Whelan, chief executive of the IEA stated;

‘’This new service directly to the Continent is very welcome , and will link both Dublin and Cork to the French ports of Montoire de Bretagne and Brest. In these difficult economic times it is heartening to see new investment in shipping routes out of Ireland , and exporters will gain some added options for entry into France and the European hinterland which should help trade development.’’
