250 Jobs Created in Athlone

Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) began recruiting 50 employees out of its planned 250 jobs for their new research facility in Athlone. PPD carry out testing for clinical and commercial programs for drug development for pharmaceutical manufacturers. €14 million is planned to be invested into this facility. PPD are searching for PhD Scientists, clinical development specialists and laboratory staff.

The Irish Government with the help of IDA Ireland supports this facility. Brian Cowen officially opened this premises on the 1st of March 2010, at Garrycastle Business & Technology Park.
