Minister of Trade and Development, Jan O’Sullivan TD, officially opened the new Research, Development and Manufacturing facility for the Biotrin Group in Dublin.  The Biotrin Group is owned by the Italian diagnostics company, DiaSorin S.p.A.

This is a great development for the Biotrin Group who in June 2010 announced a new R&D project to develop a Molecular diagnostic platform technology and assay reagents for the detection of DNA in infectious disease and Oncology.

The project is expected to create up to 40 high-value positions over the next few years bringing the total number employed at the facility to over 100.
