The Search for Services Exporter of the Year 2010 has begun, with the Irish Exporters Association and Enterprise Ireland linking up to promote the Export Industry Awards
The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) has linked up with the Enterprise Ireland in the search for the Services Exporter of the Year 2010, a key category in the National Export Industry Awards.
The award scheme for Services companies who have successfully tackled export markets was launched today by John Whelan, Chief Executive of the IEA. Organised by the IEA in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, the competition recognises the outstanding achievements and innovative activity of Services companies in tackling overseas markets .The Awards search will culminate with a Gala Awards ceremony on November 25th when the Taoiseach will present the category winner, and the overall Exporter of the Year.
The Services Exporter Award 2010, sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, recognises companies in the services sector that have made significant progress in securing and building export markets for their products and services .
Speaking at the launch of the Services Exporter Award scheme, Julie Sinnamon, Executive Director, Global Business Development at Enterprise Ireland stated:
‘’Excellent service is one of the most important factors in the international success of forward looking companies. This requires employees who not only have excellent technical qualifications but also a passion for service and a willingness to always take on a new project. Enterprise Ireland’s team of services business development advisers are there to help build this process with any services company. The winner of the Services Exporter of the Year 2010 Award will be a company with this profile.’’
John Whelan, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association stated at the launch:
‘Many companies have been hard hit by the recent economic recession; however, there are reports of significant growth in international markets. The upward trend is not losing momentum and businesses with high quality service are experiencing extraordinary growth. The IEA will show case some of these high performers in the Services Exporter of the Year 2010 Awards’’
