Today (7th July) the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) launched the Export Industry Awards programme for 2008.
Joe Lynch, President of the IEA stated at the Launch:
“We are pleased to see the focus back on exporting as the main game in town.
The Export Industry Awards 2008 will help remind us all of the continued success of individual exporters from Ireland despite the difficult trading conditions”
He went on to say;
“This year we have introduced a new award for County Enterprise companies, who will compete for the Emerging Exporter Award. This will enable a wide
range of companies with less than 10 employees to be recognised for their export efforts”
The IEA advised that the application forms for the different award categories were now up on the IEA website at http://www.irishexporters.ie/ and will shortly be up on the sponsors’ websites as follows:
Emerging Exporter of the Year – County and City Enterprise Boards
Multinational Exporter of the Year – IDA Ireland
Life Sciences Exporter of the Year- PricewaterhouseCoopers
Services Exporter of the Year – Enterprise Ireland
Manufacturing Exporter of the Year – Enterprise Ireland
Software Exporter of the Year – Enterprise Ireland
Seafood Exporter of the Year – Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM)
Food & Drink Exporter of the Year – Bord Bia
Innovation Export of the Year – Forfas
First Flight Export of the Year – Enterprise Ireland
Short Sea Shipping Company of the Year – Irish Maritime Development Office
Logistics Company of the Year – Dublin Port Company
