IEA Life Sciences Ireland recently announced that it has awarded another Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Passport to Lynx Transport, a leading Irish owned transport company located in Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Established in 1985 the company began its service offering with a daily Galway / Dublin delivery & collection service. Today the company’s business portfolio takes it to Europe and beyond. Lynx has evolved into one of the country’s most dynamic supply chain solution providers and strives to embrace best practice in the logistics and distribution industry. Employing 48 supply chain specialists, the company’s headquarters consists of a modern 55,000 sq. ft Distribution Centre.

In order to further enhance the Lynx commitment of providing clients with the best possible service the company in May 2011 embarked upon achieving GDP Passport accreditation from IEA Life Sciences Ireland. These standards govern how shipments of Medicinal / Pharma / medical device products should be handled throughout the supply chain. Applying the highest levels of technical GDP quality standards has enabled Lynx to develop its business in line with the requirements of a standard that is gaining increased importance in Ireland and across the globe.
