Lynx Transport – key logistics support company in Mid-West was Awarded GDP Passport Certification, by Life Sciences Ireland
Life Sciences Ireland awarded the prestigious Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Passport to Lynx Transport, a leading Irish owned transport company located in Oranmore, Co. Galway, at a ceremony at the Lynx premises on the 25th January.
John Whelan John Whelan, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association, who manage Life Sciences Ireland , welcomed the addition of Lynx Transport to the list of companies that have now attained GDP Passport accreditation. Mr Whelan said that Lynx Transport was now part of a select group of supply chain companies who have attained the approval professional standard required by the life sciences manufacturing industries in Ireland for the distribution and export of their products internationally .
Lynx was established in 1985 the company began its service offering with a daily Galway / Dublin delivery & collection service. Today the company’s business portfolio takes it to Europe and beyond. Lynx has evolved into one of the country’s most dynamic supply chain solution providers and strives to embrace best practice in the logistics and distribution industry. Employing 48 supply chain specialists, the company’s headquarters consists of a modern 55,000 sq. ft Distribution Centre.
In order to further enhance the Lynx commitment of providing clients with the best possible service the company in May 2011 embarked upon achieving GDP Passport accreditation from IEA Life Sciences Ireland. These standards govern how shipments of Medicinal / Pharma / medical device products should be handled throughout the supply chain. Applying the highest levels of technical GDP quality standards has enabled Lynx to develop its business in line with the requirements of a standard that is gaining increased importance and across the globe.
Lynx offers its clients a complete “one stop shop” for the most seamless and cost effective route to market and provides its many clients across a wide variety of industrial sectors with a full range of supply chain solutions, including groupage distribution, 24 hour Nationwide Deliveries & Collections, UK and European import/export services, Specialist Dedicated Vehicles, Warehousing, Inventory Management Services and Quality Assurance.
