There are several agencies from which the exporter can source the above information. There are also some that will carry out the entire research project. Enterprise Ireland grants/funding may be available for some research projects (see below). The Irish Exporters Association provides market research programmes some of which are part funded by the EC, DETE, CEBs, EI and Bord Bia, for qualifying companies. Consultants in the private sector also provide worldwide status reports on markets and companies: their fees vary considerably and should always be agreed in advance.

Aims and objective of the Fund

The "New Market Research Programme" will focus on providing additional resources for researching new markets opportunities thereby assisting our clients in achieving a greater level of market diversification and reduce the level of dependency on the UK by shifting the focus to the euro-zone and other markets.
The aims of the fund are to:

• Evaluate and assess new market/product opportunities and reach a conclusion on strategies to develop these markets.
• Assess the suitability of their current service/product offering for new markets.
• Develop plans to localize their current service/product offering for new overseas markets.
• Identify appropriate channels to market.
