The new designed site will offer exporters improved on-line services, enabling them to easily access current up to date information on markets, international trade regulation and trade finance, as well as the full range of services available from the IEA to support the export industry.
For services providers to the export industry the site provides major new brand development opportunities.
John Whelan, Chief Executive of the IEA stated at the launch of the web site that ‘the newly designed IEA web site establishes the IEA as an inclusive, dynamic and up to date information source for all those trading internationally.’
The new web site was developed by Tower Interactive. Mr Paul Kinlay, Chief Executive of Tower Interactive stated at the launch of the IEA web site that ‘Tower Interactive are delighted to have been selected by the IEA as the online development partner for this important initiative.’
Tower Interactive is an award winning Dublin based web development agency with an international client base that includes a number of UN organisations. In 2009 the company developed the landmark website for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (http://www.icty.org/). Tower Interactive focuses on the development of internationalised websites and has developed a solution that allows clients to easily manage their website in multiple languages including Arabic and Chinese. This solution is in use by the Irish Dairy Board among others and is evident on the IDB website developed by Tower. According to Paul Kinlay, CEO of Tower: ‘Our work on the development of the IEA website is particularly relevant as Tower Interactive has been strategically focused on working with exporters and the development of internationalised websites for a number of years.’
