Presidents Lunch 22nd June 2011
On the 22nd of June last the IEA hosted the annual Presidents Lunch and Trade Facilitation Gold Medal Award.
The award was presented to Peter Sutherland in recognition of his facilitation of irish export trdae development over the decades.
Peter has long been a champion of free trade, ranging from his days as Competition Commissioner at the EU, to his success at the WTO where as Director General he overcame the 7 year deadlock in negotiating the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. Peter Sutherland has been a good friend of the IEA over the years and we were delighted to present him with this award.

The event was held in the Four Seasons Hotel Ballsbridge and sponsored by HSBC Ireland.
