Rhenus Logistics Ireland is the latest company to receive the GDP Approval by the Irish Exporters Association- Life Sciences Ireland

Ireland’s export market has changed considerably over the past decade and the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry is a key element in Ireland’s economic recovery, now representing 38% of manufactured exports, some €34.3 billion annually. Thirteen of the top fifteen manufacturers in the world are located in Ireland making Ireland the largest net exporter of medicines globally.

John Whelan, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) stated at the award ceremony:

"The globalisation of the life sciences industry has created both opportunities and demanding challenges for regulators, manufacturers and logistics providers with significant attention being paid to supply chain integrity, visibility, control and quality.

The IEA are very encouraged to see companies with experience and extensive global reach, such as Rhenus Logistics, enter into the training and accreditation process to meet the highest standards of logistics service to the pharmaceutical, medical devices and bio technology industry in Ireland. This will undoubtedly help the continued expansion of the Irish Life Sciences industry into the future."
