Invest NI is part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment. It is the economic development agency for Northern Ireland providing government support for business by effectively delivering the Governments economic development strategies and making the most efficient use of available resources. Invest NI offers the Northern Ireland business community a single organisation which provides high-quality services, programmes, business development support, help to increase export levels, and advice on attracting high quality inward investment; and aims to stimulate a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. Export and trade services are delivered under Invest NIs Passport to Export Programme which is designed to support all Northern Ireland companies, but with special provision for new and inexperienced exporters. The services provided under Passport to Export fall into three main categories: Capability Development which includes Export Skills and Knowledge Workshops, Market Research and Advice and Graduate placement. The Trade Advisory Service provides businesses with tailored export consultancy from Invest NI-appointed advisors based in overseas markets. Invest NIs NI Trade Development Centres located in Boston, Denver, Düsseldorf and Dubai provide companies with a broad package of customised business development services and solutions within a supportive environment.
