Offaly County Enterprise Board
Offaly County Enterprise Board Limited is a semi-state agency providing financial and business support to the small and medium enterprise sector. It is one of 35 Boards nationally funded by the Irish Government and part-financed by the European Union under the National Development Plan 2007-2013.Offaly County Enterprise Board operates schemes, through priming and business expansion grants, aimed at assisting the establishment of small-scale economic projects with the central objective of facilitating the creation and maintenance of sustainable jobs and the development of economic infrastructure at local level.
Eligible sectors are manufacturing and internationally traded services, which in time can develop into strong export entities and graduate to the Enterprise Ireland portfolio and tourism projects aimed predominantly at overseas visitors. An eligible enterprise employs between 1 and 10 full-time staff.
The Board also provides a full information and advisory service to new and existing entrepreneurs on all aspects of setting up and running a business.
Offaly County Enterprise Board operates as a single point of contact and referral service for all state agencies and organisations, providing information on enterprise incentives, business structures, taxation, regulatory obligations, workspace availability, market research, upskilling opportunities, business and strategic planning etc.
The Board also provides extensive training and business mentoring services.
